Totalkunst

18 September – 3 October, 2004
Six members of Edinburgh’s TotalKunst arts collective arduously grope through a collaborative process to construct an environment, which reflects its group dynamics.
Mikel Krumins, Jacob Bee, Tessa Smith, Mary Trodden, Aaron McCloskey and Jenny Stephens work in collage, drawing, text, and 3-D image construction. These artists have been forging new synergy in governance, unity, independence, and co – operation in disseminating how artists work in a system of commodity, and idea representation through two months of workshops, discussions and collaborations.

Article by Dr. Louise Milne

Totalkunst is a group of artists, curators, and writers working together to conceive exhibitions, discussions, workshops, and events. They have exhibited widely throughout the U.K., Holland, Germany, Canada, and Bosnia, and the recent publication of book showcases the many and varied talents that these young artists have.
